Ingredients:
Rice 500 gms
Chicken (leg piece) 7-8
Cumin 2 tsp
Coriander Powder 2 tsp
Green Cardamom 2-3
Cinnamon 3-4
Mace and Nutmeg 2 tsp
Black Pepper few
Clove Powder 5-6
Raisins 5-6
Yogurt 1 cup
Clarified Butter 2 tbsp
Onions (finely chopped) 1 cup
Coriander Powder 2 tbsp
Red Chili Powder 1 tsp
Ginger (sliced) 1 piece
Oil as required
Salt to taste
Turmeric ½ tsp
Green chilies 2
Wash and soak rice in water.
Rinse chicken and mark deep cuts on each pieces.
Make a paste by mixing red chili, turmeric, coriander powder, salt and black pepper in yogurt. Marinate chicken with this paste.
Now make another mixture by mixing clarified butter, cloves, ginger , green chilies, nutmeg, mace, cumin, cardamom, cinnamon and salt. Fold this mixture with. Cook for 2 minutes and mix well.
Now boil rice with 1 cup water.
Add boiled rice in the chicken mixture and cook well.
Garnish with raisins and serve hot
